Cursó la Licenciatura en Artes Visuales en la ENAP especializándose en pintura. Hizo una residencia artística en The Banff Center en Canadá y ha sido beneficiaria del programa Jóvenes Creadores del FONCA.
'Aerial' hace hincapié en las formas y el uso de la geometría para abordar la pintura. Las formas geométricas dan la impresión de dinamismo y con las perspectivas, el plano bidimensional crece y transforma el entorno de lo que ve el ojo. Las vistas aéreas fueron un punto importante de inspiración para la artista en aras de lograr amplitud y distancias infinitas. Y es que por medio de estas vistas aéreas, que la artista invita a reflexionar sobre el espacio geográfico que ha sido intervenido por el hombre como los campos de cultivo y las ciudades.
"Tomo la geometría que surge a partir de los asentamientos vistos desde el aire, como cuando uno va en el avión y se aprecian todos estos círculos y cuadrados y la división de las ciudades que por lo general son a cuadrícula, las tomo y las pongo a manera de escenario e incorporo personajes a escalas aumentadas que realizan alguna actividad cotidiana. La idea es despertar el sentimiento de que a pesar de que somos tan pequeños y tantos y el universo es tan vasto, al final nos desenvolvemos en un mismo territorio, somos parte de una unidad que se construye a partir de la dependencia entre unos y otros". She has a B.A. in Visual Arts from ENAP, she specialized in painting. She did an art residence in The Banff Center, Canada, and obtained the scholarship of the young creators program, FONCA.
"Aerial" emphasizes shapes and the use of geometry to approach painting. Geometric shapes give the impression of dynamism and with perspective, the two-dimensional plane grows and transforms the environment that meets the eye. The aerial views were an important point of inspiration for the artist in order to achieve amplitude and infinite distances. And it is that through these aerial views, the artist invites to think on the geographical area that has been intervened by human beings, such as fields and cities.
"I take geometry arising from settlements seen from the air, as when one goes on the plane and all these circles and squares and the division of towns that usually are grid appreciate, I take them and put them as stage and then incorporate characters performing some daily activity in increased scales. The idea is to arouse the feeling that even though we are so small and so many and the universe is so vast, in the end we live in the same territory, we are part of a unit that is built from the dependency between each other ".
